Acne and Makeup – A Practical Guide
Right … so your new acne medication promises fast results in 10 days, but you have to face the world today. What can we do to tie the process down period before the acne?
Then all you need is to learn creative little acne makeup concealing tips to help you find your school best, work or play.
But remember – Makeup conceals acne, it no cure!
But you already knew that, right? Using makeup to conceal acne is not difficult, but there are some basic rules that should always be follow.
The basic toolkit acne makeup
Your three acne hiding weapons will be a correction, a foundation and finishing powder. Stay away from the dollar store and use only brand name you can trust.
Choose only the products of oil-free makeup matching your skin tone. No oil is the key to success here to read the labels carefully. You do not want to aggravate your existing acne problem by layering a new layer oil on skin that already has a lot to start. Choose a hypoallergenic brand while you're at it.
If this is the first time you are using a new brand, try using small touches make a point under the jaw to see how your skin reacts. If you are having a problem that is going to know within an hour after application. Nothing is worse than adding more blotches to an already-color.
Before you begin
Wash your face with the product normal face cleaning and drying. Apply your acne medication as directed and allow to dry completely.
Start with the spelling
Apply the concealer in a light dabbing motion directly to any dark blotches or red areas that the acne has produced on the skin. Blend the concealer in using facial sponge disposable. Use the concealer sparingly. You can always apply more if needed but do not want the layer too thickly. It will look terrible when it dries.
Then apply foundation
Apply the foundation sparingly as well and with a light dabbing motion here too. Mix the base with a sponge and re- to apply to areas in need.
And now the final touch
Apply a light coat of oil-free powder with a makeup brush large. This will be responsible for any shine that the acne concealer and foundation left behind and that give a consistent look and finish.
Dispose of disposable sponges when you are through so you do not transfer yesterday's skin oil to clean face morning!
Before going to bed
Wash your face thoroughly to remove all makeup before going to bed, but preferably as soon as possible after his return home. You want your skin to breath and acne get fresh air as possible.
